The current home vegetable gardening trend is gaining a lot of momentum and attention lately.
Has anyone out there been receiving more requests for creating and/or maintaining vegetable gardens?

Might be a good way for landscapers to take advantage of what's hot. Let me know what you think.

I have had an Edible Landscape Design service on the back burner for about ten years. I'm finally getting off my keister this spring. Now people actually have a need for such and are beginning to understand the importance. Fruit trees are the number one request I have recieved. I hope this just grows and grows. There are so many good edible ornamentals.

Thanks for the reply, Martyn. There are a lot of good edible ornamentals to add to the landscape. Fruit trees are a common site around the yards here in Florida. Veggie gardens with herbs, tomatoes and peppers are gaining more momentum.
This is a trend that makes sense for people looking to get more out of their yards. Hopefully people won't go overboard and start tearing out their palms, bushes, and other flowering plants in place of just edibles though.
Landscapes with form and function are the best of both worlds.

I know the spring is early, but have you received any unusual edible landscape design requests?
