Heirloom tomato plants. Each year I would grow a few for myself and sell the rest. We made a one page write up describing the color, FLAVOR, and history of each one. People would stand and read and talk and buy. No where else could you find Cherokee…
We wish our customers would "shop" us. But being "watched" and "followed" is kind of creepy. I'll leave that up to celebrities. My ego is salved when they just answer their phone!
Thank God for the rains! I love rainy season. Everything grows...the trees, shrubs, palms, perennials, lawns all flush with rich, new foliage. In South Florida there is no solumn dormancy, just a slight change in growth pattern. But when the rains begin, the change in the landscape is dramatic.
A beautiful word to describe spring is verdure (rhymes with merger). Verdure is "freshness in general; flourishing condition; vigor." You can see it, smell it, feel it. Spring break does not refer to beaches but to buds.
