Thank you for stressing a good, calibrated EC meter! I cannot tell you how few growers actually do this on a regular basis! I did not know that EC meters calibration fluid only last about 1 year! We have a new injector (DM11F) 11 GPM (preset at 1:1…

Sorry to hear you only got 3 years out of a Dosatron. I visit customers all the time who have them for 10-15 years depending on how they are used and if they do any maintenance. Anderson injectors are good equipment, glad to hear they work for you.

A Mazzei venturi system can be less accurate as it is not a positive displacement injector and depends on pressure and flow. Venturi systems are mostly used in field applications for large farms as there is more of a buffer in soil.

My recommendation is to use 2 of the Dosatron D14MZ2 (14 GPM) . The cost of each of these injectors is about $330 each and will be able to inject the two different types of fertilizers. As the fertilizer will be diluted when it comes in contact with…

Hi Wayne If the Dosatron is clicking and not drawing up solution, then a basic maintenance kit will take care of that. Each one of our injectors has it's own kit. You have purchased one of our 5% injectors, which are not typically used in Horticultu…

ello Lela, I just purchased a used DI 150 and it doesn't seem to want to pump. I would guess trying maintenance kit. It clicks but does not pump anything. No suction. Is it standard kit or are there more than one?? Thanks Wayne

Michael Not sure you have used our Dosatron Fertilizer Injectors. We have excellent accuracy provided you do the recommended maintenance which is as simple as changing your seal kit. As with all fertilizer/chemical injectors, it is essential that yo…

We've had LOTS of experience with the full range of injectors, and frankly, we feel that DOSATRON easily makes the most sense to any grower. We keep a couple dead dosamatics around just to remind us graphically how overcomplicated they are and impos…

Hind sight being 20/20, given the large bone yard of dosatron AND dosamatic injectors we have amassed over the last 30 years I think I would have saved more money if I had paid more money upfront and bought all Anderson Injectors. I would have had b…

Michael, you are absolutely correct! Any injector can wear out and you cannot tell by the color of your fertilizer. Regular seal maintenance on the Dosatron injectors help to ensure that they stay accurate and work correctly. Great advice for all gr…

During my two peak growing seasons a year (Spring and Later Poinsettias) a full liquid fertilizer mix in my large stock tank usually lasts me 3-4 weeks. Once the tank mix is blended for the pH and the EC levels I need "at the hose end" I write down…

In the past 20 years I have given talks, written articles, done trade shows and cannot get growers to understand how important this maintenance is.
This is so important to crop quality, how can I get growers to see the importance of this?
I welcome your feed… Continue
