Try onlinelabels.com I've used them for awhile now and they work really well. as far as the ink goes I use an Epson printer with Durabrite inks and they don't run or fade.

If I understand correctly, this issue may not be the labels but the ink. Only laser printers have waterproof ink. Ink jet printers won't hold up, even on waterproof stock

I use a laser printer for printing tree/shrub labels and you might check with J Henry Company If you want pre printed tags. They have a large number of tags.
Susan, I don't think the labels themselves are the big problem, it's the water soluble ink that is used in ink jet printers. My experience is that the ink even when dry will run when exposed to high humidity or water in a greenhouse/nursery environm…
